SOME FEEDBACK FROM OUR GUESTS
Just a few notes and suggestions for your future clients and i hope you will have many. English speaking professionals are a necessity for us non- French speaking travelers
IVINDO TRIP : For the pirogue trip
- Take protective rain wear –coat and rain pants .the trip can be wet.
- Wear rubber or waterproof shoes on the pirogue
- take a complete change of clothes in case you get wet
- Flora in the rain forest is beautiful and varied take note as you hike.
- the hikes are difficult take that into consideration –also the conditions in the forest camp is minimal. Belinga palace hotel in Makokou has a friendly and helpful staff and a good food.
- Thanks to Joseph (Conservateur du Parc) and to the guides Parfait and Rodrigue for all their help.

Very friendly, helpful and pro- active staff; When we arrived at 23h50 they had a meal waiting for us. The lodge is vey nice as is the food . Animals in the park; Mandrills , Gorillas ,Chimpanzees Citatounga ,impalas , Wild pigs and buffalo to name a few . If one could spend an extra day one could see the things they are doing in the park .Such as fish breeding etc .thanks to the enthousiastic guide Jean Patrice. Also the trip to the Poubara falls abd the liana bridge is the must. A suggestion from me: Perhaps other cultural trips could be arranged like the Bwiti ceremony which was highlightful like visits to village, seeing some traditional dance ,music etc. Thank you Paul and Virginie for organizing the trip and for all of your help .Yes arranging the cell phone was an extremely good idea. Good luck in the future !

October - November 2009 / To all to whom it may concern.
In October 2009, after 2 years of searching a travel agent interested to cook up a holiday for me, I spent 2 weeks in Gabon with Ngonde Tour. What Gabon has got to offer to travellers is beyond compare and beyond imagination. Gabon has not developed its infrastructure and the people have not developed their mentality to use the country’s full potential. But believe me it is all just details. In a way it is even Gabon’s asset because it adds up to the flavour of being in wilderness and the country’s true wonders are plentiful. What are they? Very simple – its people and its nature with ability to cure anything in your body or in your soul. When in Gabon, I used to recite a poem by W. H. Davis (1870 – 1940), once told by a friend of mine from India:
“What is this life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare,
No time to stand beneath the boughs and stare as long as sheep and cows,
No time to see when woods we pass where squirrels hide their nuts in grass,
No time to see in broad daylight streams full of stars like skies at night
No time to turn at beauty’s glance and watch her feet how they can dance
No time to wait till her mouth enrich that smile her eyes began
A poor life this if full of care we have no time to stand and stare”.
This poem contains the very essence of Gabon. All it takes is just stand and stare. Gabon will reveal to you all you have always dreamt of. Years later you will still think if all you have seen or felt was for real.

I was fortunate to learn about Ngonde Tour run by Paul and Virginia Armand ( (+241) 04 15 41 60) http://ngondetour.com / info@ngondetour.com. They were very generous in assisting with logistics in Libreville and gave up their weekend to make last minute arrangements for a tour. Their knowledge of the current status of the parks and their many contacts were invaluable.
